This is the best Italian beef outside of Chicago! Flavorful and goodsized portions. And the chocolate cake? Well, if you like chocolate cake, youll LOVE this one. The cake is fluffy spongy deliciousness. Its well worth the price for a visit to this side of its origin home in Villa Park, Illinois!
I was 10 years old in 1970 and my parents use to take me to the Portillos food truck in Illinois. Saw a picture of the truck again in the restaurant! Love the Italian beef! Drove 1 hr to get there but well worth it after not sinking my teeth in one for 17 years.
I was excited to find a PlantBased Hot Dog on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere at Portillos is fantastic, with retro decor that really adds to the experience. The fries were also tasty. Its great to see they had vegetarian options available, and well definitely be back!

Love the decor here. We walk up to place our order, there is also a kiosk to place an order. You get a receipt with a number. You pick up your order when your number is called. Self serve drinks. Inside seating only. Their chili hot dogs were good.
They are known for their hot dogs I see now why!! I had to order more!! The customer service was amazing!!! I was very well taken care of by Shawnee, Tyra Isisi. My food was very fast my hot dog had everything placed very nicely Ian was very funny nice too.
